The Allen-Bradley 2706-PDHPP module is an InView DH communication module. It comes with a control voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. The communication module resides inside the display unit it is connected to and it is mounted by using a DIN Rail. The InView communication module is compatible with the 2706-P2X display unit variant. The InView display unit is used for displaying messages, and the InView message display uses a vacuum fluorescent display screen which can display 20 characters per line of information. The 2706-PDHPP communication module is housed inside a NEMA Type 12/13 enclosure. The enclosure is fully water resistant and it is protected against water sprays from all directions. The display unit comes with a built-in clock which keeps track of important data events during operation. The communication module has been certified with the c-UL-us, CE, and C-Tick standards. The CE mark is given to devices which are suitable to operate in Europe and other regions.
The 2706-PDHPP module is fully compatible with both the new and existing Allen-Bradley DH networks. By using the InView communication utility, the module can be configured. The configuration file can also be saved, reused, and edited as needed. The display unit takes in 18 to 30 Volts DC voltage and it has a current rating of 0.5 Amps. It displays information with a red LED matrix screen. The 2706-PDHPP module can be used to connect to a personal computer for developing InView applications. LED indicators are present on the module to show the fault status and communication activity of the module. For connection, the module uses an Ethernet connector. The cable length should always be kept to a minimum when connecting the module to other devices.
