The 2706-M1D1 message display terminal is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation message display terminal from the MessageView terminal series. It is one of the MessageView series display terminals that comes with a built-in daughterboard card. The 2706-M1D1 message display terminal has a Remote I/O port on its daughterboard that it uses to connect to a logic controller. The 2706-M1D1 message display terminal also has an RS-232 port that can be used for connecting to auxiliary devices.

The Allen-Bradley 2706-M1D1 is an operator interface product similar to the 2706-M1D, but it has no ASCII triggering functionality. There is an ASCII triggering functionality in 2706-M1D but not in 2706-M1D1. This product needs 18-30V DC with a maximum power rating of 20 W. The storage temperature range is between -40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit and the operating temperature range is between 32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit. The 2706-M1D1 has 4 key interfaces. These are universal remote I/O communication which controls communication with slave message displays, PLC, and SLC controllers, making the 2706-M1D1 a good interface for almost any machine or application.

The 2706-M1D1 weighs only 1.45 kg and its humidity rating is 5 to 95% (without condensation). This product is UL Listed, CSA Certified, CE Marked, NEMA Type 12, 13, 4X (indoor use only) and Class I Division 2 rated for operation almost anywhere in the world. The FAULT is represented by the red one while the COMM is represented by the green one.
