The 2707-L40P1 is an Allen-Bradley DTAM Plus Series Message Display Device. It is classified under the Microview 2707 series of the Allen-Bradley Panelview devices. The 2707-L40P1 features a 4-line, 20-character LCD screen that produces a yellow LED light. The 2707-L40P1 features 40 KB of memory and it has 20 to 30 Volts DC input power. The module comes with a display size of 1 x 3 inches. The 2707-L40P1 comes with the ASCII input and features the RS-232C and the RS-485 communication ports. The module comes with no remote I/O port. The 2707-L40P1 is a NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13 enclosures for indoor use only. The 2707-L40P1 DTAM Plus unit features a printer port that functions for printing the documents and it comes as a real-time clock that is powered using a P1 power supply.

When using the 2707-L40P1 in a hazardous environment, it is important that the module is mounted in an enclosure in accordance with the Class 1 and Division 2 wiring methods as specified under the National and the Canadian Electrical wiring codes. In addition, when the users are mounting the 2707-L40P1 on a panel, it is critical that the users disconnect all the electrical power and make sure that the area around the panel is cleared and to ensure that nothing falls into or onto the installation panel of the module through the DIP switch hole or through the ventilation slots. The 2707-L40P1 is commonly used for the broadband communication and it comes with communication ports that feature an interface to the Allen-Bradley PLC and the SLC controller product lines.
