The Allen-Bradley 2707-L8P1 is a DTAM Plus series operator interface module with an RS-232/RS-485 configurable communication port. Note that this communication port has an isolation voltage of 500V and a maximum serial communication distance of 4000 ft. or 1219 m with the Link Coupler for the RS-485 port and a distance of 50 ft. or 15 m for the RS-232 port. This module requires a P1 power supply, with a 1-amp fuse and a voltage of 15-23V AC with a frequency of 47-440 Hz or a voltage of 20-30V DC and a maximum current of 800 mA. The operating temperature of this module is 0-45 oC, the storage temperature is -20-85 oC, and non-condensing relative humidity is 5-95%.

Input on this module is done via an embossed, sealed membrane keypad that has a stainless-steel dome tactile feedback and it has an operational life of about 1 million presses. It also features an LCD, which is a twisted-nematic type that has an adjustable yellow LED backlight. Note that you can choose from 4 adjustable backlight settings using the keypad. The 2707-L8P1 module’s display consists of 4 lines with 20 characters, with each character having a size of 0.19 x 0.12 inches. Its display measures 1 x 3 inches and has a contrast ratio of 10:1. Also present in this module are red/green/yellow status indicators. The entire module has an approximate weight of 2.1 lbs or 0.95 kg and dimensions of 7.6 x 5.5 x 1.8 inches. The enclosure ratings of the 2707-L8P1 input module are NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13 and it is for indoor use only.
