The 2711-K3A5L1 is a PanelView 300 Monochrome display terminal that is more generally referred to as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) in most industries. This visualization terminal is part of the bigger product family of 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals.

The 2711-K3A5L1 operator terminal features a 3-inch display screen, in monochrome color, with a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels and display area of 73 mm (w) x 42 mm (h) or 2.87 in. (w) x 1.67 in. (h). It has a single DH485 (RS232) built-in communication port that permits connection to DH485 enabled devices. Operator control can be established via the keypad assembly that is composed of Function keys from F1 to F8, numeric keys and cursor control keys. The function keys are configurable for global and local assignments. The 2711-K3A5L1 rated power supply input is 24VDC.

The 2711-K3A5L1 is capable of communicating with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as PLC5, MicroLogix, SLC500 and Logix family of controllers. For storing application data, the 2711-K3A5L1 has an internal 240KB non-volatile memory along a 170KB runtime memory. The non-volatile memory may be expanded by installing an ATA memory card to accommodate larger files. Aside from ATA memory cards, other terminal accessories include antiglare overlays for improving the operator terminal’s display, function key legend inserts to avoid user input errors, backlight replacements and other accessories.

The 2711-K3A5L1 supports up to 100 alarm list which is stored in the device non-volatile memory. Applications downloaded to the terminal is developed using the PanelBuilder32 programming software.
