The Allen-Bradley 2711-B5A20 is an Ethernet enabled PanelView 550 operator terminal. This product is primarily used to implement factory-floor level monitoring and control and capable of directly interfacing with controllers and other devices via the embedded Ethernet communication interface.

This product is part of the now obsolete Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminal product family.

The 2711-B5A20 is equipped with a 5.5-inch, monochrome LCD Blue Mode display that has an effective display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.) and resolution of 256 x 128 pixels. The same display interface serves as one of the dual operator input areas as the display has an embedded touch sensitive membrane, enabling touchscreen operation. It also has a keypad assembly that is composed of function keys F1 to F10 and directional keys UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT along a set of confirmation keys. Both the touchscreen and the keypad are designed to be operated up to 1 million actuations. The terminal supports alarm printing through its RS232 printer port where alarm records and messages can be sent out to an alarm printer for documentation.

The 2711-B5A20 rated power supply input range is 85-264V AC, along a frequency range of 47-63 Hz. The built-in memory of the 2711-B5A20 are partitioned for Random Access Memory (RAM) amounting to 170KB and non-volatile memory amounting to 240 KB.

This unit is powered using 120V AC power. The 2711-B5A20 has an internal memory capacity of 170 KB of application runtime. This unit has an internal backlight with appropriate replacement part number of 2711-NL1. The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 6 lbs and 14 x 11 x 8 inches, respectively. The 2711-B5A20 Panelview 550 HMI terminal is IEC IP54, IEC IP65, UL, CUL, C-Tick, CE, Class I Division 2, Class I Zone 2, Class II Division 2, and Class III Division 1 certified for operation in a variety of industrial environments and authorized use in several countries. Note that the 2711-B5A20 is only rated for indoor use and that it can fit into an indoor-rated NEMA Type 12, 13, or 4X enclosure.
