The keypad installed consists of 16 function keys (L1-L8 and R1-R8), navigation keys, and numeric keys. Note that both the touchscreen and keypad inputs have actuation ratings of 1 million presses each. The display’s viewing area measures 8.3 x 6.2 inches, with a 4:3 aspect ratio and an 800 x 600 SVGA resolution. The 2715-B10CD also has 262,144 colors or 18-bit color graphics, a typical brightness of 300 cd/m2 (Nits), and a non-replaceable backlight with a minimum lifespan of 50,000 hours and a normal power consumption of 3.5 W.
Installed on the 2715-B10CD terminal is a red/green status indicator, a 512 MB RAM, and a 250 MB nonvolatile memory where you can store projects. You can also add more memory to it via an external storage card, either by placing a 1784-SDx SD card on the built-in SD card slot or a removable flash memory connected to 1 of the 2 host USB 2.0 high-speed Type A ports. The 2715-B10CD also has 1 high-speed USB 2.0 Type B device port that you can use to connect to the host computer. There are also two 10/100 Ethernet ports.
The input voltage of the 2715-B10CD terminal is 100-240V AC, at 50-60 Hz, and its inrush current is 50A. Its maximum power consumption of 105 VA and its normal power consumption is 43 VA or 17W at 240V AC. The Allen-Bradley 2715-B10CD PanelView 5500 Graphic Terminal is an operator interface terminal designed for controlling and monitoring devices attached to CompactLogix L1, L2, or L3 devices or to ControlLogix 5570 controllers through an EtherNet/IP network. Its text displays and animated graphics provide an interactive interface for the operators. The 2715-B10CD builds modern applications with fast HMI buttons for scalable vector graphics and a previously-configured system banner that provides diagnostic information. The 2715-B10CD can be panel-mounted with UL, NEMA, or IP-rated enclosures. The 2715-B10CD supports Tap and Drag functions for interacting with the different screen elements. It has a response time of less than 100ms. It can support up to 50 user-defined screens and 500 Logix-based alarms. The 2715-B10CD also has an enhanced integration with the Logix platform that allows for efficient sharing of information across the entire automation system.
