The Allen-Bradley 2715-T12WD is a PanelView 5500 terminal with an analog resistive touchscreen and navigation buttons. Note that the touchscreen has an actuation rating of 1 million presses. It uses a 12.1-inch widescreen display with a viewing area of 10.3 x 6.4 inches and it is a thin film transistor liquid crystal display screen. The screen’s normal brightness is 300 cd/m2 (Nits) with 18-bit color graphics or 262,144 colors. The 2715-T12WD allows the user to make custom and re-usable graphics and text displays for viewing machine's operating state. It has applications in modern devices that require high-speed HMI buttons like jogging machines and other health-related devices.The non-replaceable backlight used has a minimum lifespan of 50,000 hours, with a typical power consumption of 3.5 W. It is also equipped with a red/green status indicator. The approximate dimensions of this terminal are 9.69 x 13.39 x 2.74 inches and it weighs 2.54 kg or 5.6 lbs.

This terminal has a nominal input voltage of 24V DC, with the voltage range of 18-30V DC. Its normal power consumption is 18W and its maximum power consumption is 50W or 2.1A at 24V DC. The 2715-T12WD terminal also has a 7A inrush current and supports SELV and PELV power supplies.

The RAM present in the 2715-T12WD terminal is 512 MB and it also has 250 MB of nonvolatile memory to store projects. The external storage devices it supports are 1784-SDx cards and flash drives. The host has 2 high-speed USB 2.0 type A drives for the removable flash drives with a rating of 0.5A at 5V DC.
