The Allen-Bradley 2715-T9WD PanelView 5500 is an HMI device in the Panelview 5500 family, which creates an interface through the touchscreen and navigational keys. Users can set application parameters and view and control the Control Logix 5570 and the Compact Logix L1, L2, and L3 controller status. The touchscreen is a color thin-film transistor, 9-inch LCD with a display dimension of 7.7 x 4.6 in., and a resolution of 800 x 480 WVGA (with a 5 to 3 aspect ratio). The 2715-T9WD has an analog resistive and antiglare touchscreen surface with a million-press actuation rating and a brightness of 300 cd/m2 (Nits). It has an LED backlight, with a standby time of 40,000 hours at 40 °C (104 °F) and a power rating of 3.5W for the backlight. The user’s default application settings are saved in the 250MB internal storage memory, and the HMI has a 512MB volatile memory.
