The Allen-Bradley 2715P-T7WD-B PanelView 5510 Terminal is designed to provide a graphical interface to the Allen-Bradley L1, L2, or L3 CompactLogix applications and the L7 or L8 ControlLogix applications and to every device connected to these controllers over the Ethernet network. This terminal provides the operators with a means to graphically view, interact with, and control machine and application processes, and it supports the Studio 5000 environment for Human-Machine Interface (HMI) application development. The 2715P-T7WD-B Terminal is designed to supports up to 4 CompactLogix or ControlLogix controllers at a time, and it also supports a maximum of 4000 Logix-based alarms (instruction-based and tag-based alarms). The 2715P-T7WD-B Terminal is DC powered and it supports both PELV and SELV 24 Volts DC power supplies. It has an operating voltage rating of 24 Volts DC (with a 18 to 30 Volts DC voltage range) and a maximum power rating of 22 Watts.

The 2715P-T7WD-B Terminal has an inrush current rating of 7 Amps, and a maximum terminal dissipation rating of 41 BTU/Hour. It provides the operators with a graphical view of a the machine application process via its 7-inch (diagonal) color Thin Film-Transistor (TFT) Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen with a wide aspect ratio and an approximate display area of 132 x 99 millimeters. The 2715P-T7WD-B Terminal allows the users to control an application process via an analog-resistive touchscreen, which provides accurate, durable, and reliable touch control for industrial applications. This terminal comes with 1 GB of RAM/non-volatile memory, and it supports external memory card (SD) usage.  It has 2 USB 2.0 Host ports, 1 USB 2.0 Device port, and 2 Ethernet communication ports as standard I/O ports, and it also has LED light indicators that show the terminal's status.
