The PanelView Standard operator terminal with catalog number 2711-K6C5 is a PanelView 600 Visualization component from Allen-Bradley. This operator terminal is more popularly known as Human Machin Interface (HMI) with the primary purpose of providing process operators with a real-time monitoring and interface to the process via a combination of features embedded within the HMI.

Process visualization is achieved via the 5-inch colored graphic display wherein animations with color coded information may be implemented. This colored screen has a functional display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). along a screen resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. The screen is paired with an internal backlight which is field replaceable and expected to operate up to 50,000 Hr.

Operator control and interface is provided by the embedded keypad that is composed of Ten (10) function keys, navigation and numeric keys. Each key performs individual function with the Function keys capable of accepting local and global assignment. These keys are expected up to 1 Million actuations and may be installed with function key legend inserts.

The 2711-K6C5 has DH485 communication port that is compatible with different Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) products of Allen-Bradley such as SLC 500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix processors. It is also compatible with 3rd party to controllers and devices to enable process visualization and centralized monitoring and control.

The 2711-K6C5 is ideal for small machine and process. It has a built0in 240KB non-volatile memory and 190KB runtime application memory. It has a rated power supply input range of 85-264V AC, with a frequency of 47-63 Hz.

This PV 600 has a vivid 5 in. Color Display. The user is able to control the HMI using the Keypad to input information and data.

This unit is powered using 85-264 VAC power. This unit has the following internal memory of 240 KB non-volatile and 190KB runtime memory. The 2711-K6C5 PanelView has a replaceable backlight of 2711-NL3 for Series A and Series B units, and 2711-NL5 for Series C units.

The RS-232 (DH-485 protocol) Terminal connects to MicroLogix and SLC 500 controllers using DH-485 protocol. The point-to-point configuration uses a separate connection for high-priority data. They can also connect to a DH-485 network using the AIC+ module.

This process can also be done through the RS-232 Printer port, the standard RS-232/DH-485 port, or with a PC memory card such as the 2711-NM232.
