2711R-T7T

The 2711R-T7T is a graphic operator terminal from Allen-Bradley. It is part of the visualization hardware PanelView 800 that is especially compatible with Allen-Bradley MicroLogix, CompactLogix, SLC 500, PLC5 and Micro 800 controllers. This operator terminal supports a variety of communication protocols such as Serial, DF1, DH485, MODBUS, MODBUS ASCII, MODBUS Unicode, Allen-Bradley CIP, and Ethernet I/P.

The 2711R-T7T features a 7-inch colored display screen that supports vertical or horizontal orientation in widescreen format. It has a resolution of 800 x 480 with an effective viewing area of 153.6 x 86.6 mm (6.05 x 3.41 in.). It has an analog resistive touchscreen interface with designed operation life of up to 1 million actuations.

It comes with an integral memory amounting to 256 MB Flash Memory and 256 MB DDR RAM. It supports installation of external storage such as Industrial grade micro-SD cards and specifically compatible with SDSC and Class 6 & Class 10 SDHC micro-SD cards, FAT32/16 formats, up to 32 GB maximum size.

It has a variety of interface such as Ethernet, RS232 / RS422 / RS485 communication ports as well as USB peripheral port for insertion of external input devices such as mouse and keyboard.

It supports implementation of recipes for batching applications wherein up to 50 recipes can be stored.

The color transmissive TFT matrix LCD touchscreen measures 7 inches, has 65K colors and has a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480. It is in a widescreen format with a display area of 6.05 x 3.41 inches. It also has an LED backlight and the display has a minimum lifespan of 40,000 hours, or 5 years, at 25 degrees Celsius. The terminal comes with a 256 MB internal storage and a 256 MB DDR RAM, and the processor has an 800 MHz CPU speed. The 2711R-T7T has a resistive touch input type and comes with a microSD slot for additional memory. If users plan to use a microSD card, make sure to use industrial grade cards. It is compatible with Class 10 SDHC microSD cards of up to 32 GB. The terminal’s USB 2.0 and Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) ports allow users to connect to different networks. This terminal also has separate RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 connectors as well as a real-time clock with a battery included. The 2711R-T7T measures 5.67 x 7.75 x 2.13 inches and weighs 0.651 kilograms or 1.44 pounds. The 2711R-T7T terminal is optimized to be compatible with the MicroLogix, Micro800, and CompactLogix 5370 (except for CompactLogix 5370-L37) controllers. The terminal displays alarm messages with embedded variables and it also has uploading and downloading capabilities for data or parameter settings with recipe capability. Fifty recipe files are present with this terminal. The nominal input voltage of the 2711R-T7T is 24 Volts DC while its input voltage range is from 18 to 32 Volts DC. It also has a maximum power consumption of 11 Watts or 0.40 Amps at 24 Volts DC and a heat dissipation of 34 BTU/hour. Note that it requires that the environment’s ambient temperature fall within a range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The terminal’s operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and its non-operating temperature range is from -25 to 75 degrees Celsius.
