This terminal can communicate with other industrial machines through serial communication or Ethernet communication. The 2711P-K12C4A7 operator interface terminal operates at 100 to 240 Volts AC.

The 2711P-K12C4A7 PanelView Plus CE 1250 Keypad Part is manufactured by Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley for industrial computers and operating terminals. The base unit terminal has a built-in Ethernet and RS-232 communication ports and the communication module known as the 2711P-RN20 provides an additional Ethernet port, a Standard Communication (Ethernet and RS-232) port, and scheduled and unscheduled communication capabilities. The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C4A7 PanelView Plus Keypad comes with an external AC-to-DC power supply. When repairing the part, it is replaced by a PanelView Plus CE unit with DC input it the external AC-to-DC power supply was not returned. The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C4A7 PanelView Plus CE Keypad can be upgraded to the new Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C4A7 PanelView Plus 6 Keypad.

Extra functionality is available when the users order terminals with optional extended features.
