The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K12C6D6 is a Graphic Terminal keypad from the PanelView Plus 1250 product series. The components of this terminal are modular, which enables quick installation, configuration, and upgrades. The base-configured unit of the terminal has two consisting parts; a display module with keypad and a logic module. The logic module contains various sizes of flash and SDRAM memory, an Ethernet port, a card slot for CompactFlash cards Type I, and two USB port to connect a keyboard, mouse, or printer. In addition to the aforementioned ports, the 2711P-K12C6D6 has a DH+/DH-485/Remote I/O module.

This device weighs approximately 3.2 kilograms (7.6 pounds). The keypad of the device is 282 millimeters (11.12 inches) long, 416 millimeters (16.36 inches) wide and 55 millimeters (2.18 inches) thick. The 12.1 inch (246 by 184 millimeter) Color Active Matrix Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display is suitable for outdoor installations. The highlight display features a built-in temperature sensor which decreases the intensity of the backlight if the temperature in the enclosure exceeds 55 degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit) to protect the display from potential damage. The display has an 800 x 600 resolution and 18-bit color graphics. In addition to this, the terminal also has a field replaceable backlight and 40 keys which can be programmed and are used to initiate functions on the display. Critical Data is time-stamped by a battery-backed clock and the 2711P-K12C6D6 comes with a standard 128 MB memory, which can be extended using 115 MB flash for application storage. The 2711P-K12C6D6 terminal is intended for use in combination with logic controllers which can be programmed. The device is Class A equipment engineered for use in industrial environments with Pollution Degree II. Designed as open-type equipment, the device is to be mounted in an enclosure which is designed for the matching environmental conditions.
