The Allen Bradley Display Module 2711-RDT12CK is an accessory display module for the PanelView Plus 700 to 1500 terminals, as well as to the PanelView Plus CE 1250 terminals.  A terminal is comprised of three components: a display module, a logic module, and an optional communications module. Configured Terminals, terminals that are ordered as a single product number, already have a display module and logic module.  The 2711-RDT12CK Display terminal, however, is a modular display component that can be ordered and installed separately into the PanelView Plus 700 to 1500 terminals and PanelView Plus CE 1250 terminals. The module is conformal-coated, analog resistive, has a standard aspect ratio, and a TFT color graphics display with touchscreen support. Migration to larger displays can be completed with ease and convenience.  The 2711-RDT12CK also has a replaceable ID label.

To prevent the screen from being damaged, only recommend touch items should be used.  A finger, plastic stylus device (with the radius of the tip not less than 1.3 millimeters or 0.051 inches, or a gloved finger may be used to operate the device.  Any other tool could damage the touchscreen. With a 12.1 inch screen size (1250) display, the 2711-RDT12CK has a high-bright display screen with an integral anti-glare overlay that is well suited for outside installations.  Infrared and ultraviolet radiation can shorten the lifespan of the module; ultraviolet rays specifically can turn plastics brittle, yellow or faded over time.  Therefore, the terminal’s orientation and the selection of an appropriate enclosure are some factors that should be considered when installing outdoors. As far as possible, the module should be mounted vertically to avoid direct sunlight rays on the display.  Doing so will elongate the lifespan of the display and the front bezel.
