About Panelview Plus 1500

Designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the PV Plus 1500 series is a series of human-machine interface terminals that support the touchscreen and keypad data input functionalities. The PV Plus 1500 series terminals come with USB ports that provide the units with an easy way of connecting other peripheral devices that can include a keyboard, an external mouse, or even an external printer. The PV Plus 1500 terminals come with the field-replaceable bezels with the same panel cutouts as the PanelView enhanced terminals and the PanelView standard terminals. The PV Plus 1500 terminals feature CompactFlash card slots that support the Type 1 CompactFlash card. The PV Plus 1500 terminals support the Ethernet and serial communication options. The units feature an analog-resistive touchscreen and they come with the color graphics display and keypad or touchscreen support.

The PV Plus 1500 series terminals support communication modules with the network interface to the base-configured units of the terminals for increasing communication capability with the DH+, DH-485, and the ControlNet networks. The communication modules are installed on the top of the control terminals to ensure easy accessibility. The touchscreens are analog-resistive with similarities in design and different screen sizes. The PV Plus 1500 terminals should be installed properly to ensure optimal functionality. When installing the components, ensure that the metal pieces do not enter any of the components that are already installed on the panels. The PV Plus 1500 series terminals should be disconnected from the power supplies when the users are carrying out any repair or component replacement procedures. If these guidelines are not followed, there is a risk of user injury or component damage.
