Engineered by Allen-Bradley, the 2711P-K6M8A terminal is a PanelView Plus 600 series operator interface terminal that features a voltage rating of 120 Volts AC. The unit features the RS-232 and USB type of communication ports. It also supports Ethernet and the DH+ ports, and it comes with the 5.7-inch monochrome display type. The Allen-Bradley operator interface terminal communication modules can be easily attached by using network interfacing to the base-configured unit of the terminal to increase the unit’s communication capability with the DH+/DH-485 and the ControlNet networks. The 2711P-K6M8A terminal communication module is also easy to install on the top of the logic module that is attached on the back of the unit. The 2711P-K6M8A terminal features the keypad input type. The keypad is designed with function keys and an application memory with up to 64 MB dedicated to the bitmaps or the recording data. The 2711P-K6M8A terminal uses the supported communication ports for data transfer, the configuration of the unit, and also for easy programming through attaching or connecting the device to an external PC. The PanelView graphic terminals feature an extendable system memory. The flash storage space also includes the nonvolatile storage that is used for various applications. The display screen of this operator terminal measures 5.5-inch with a monochrome display. The monochrome screen is capable of black and white graphics only. The operate control, modify variables and navigate from HMI screen to another using the embedded keypad that is composed of Ten (10) function keys, numeric and navigation keys. It also has a USB interface that is used for connecting external input devices such as a mouse and a keyboard.

The Machine Edition version is used exclusively for operator terminals while the Site Edition version is used not only operator terminals but Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems as well.
