It is a compact electronic device that permits addition of components as required by the process.
The 2711P-K4M20A8 is powered by an external supply voltage ranging 100-240V AC along frequency of 50-60 Hz. It has a maximum power consumption of 35VA and typical consumption of 20VA. This operator terminal comes with a Battery-backed clock that timestamps critical data with accuracy of ±2 minutes per month. The battery is expected to last up to 4 years when operated at a minimum temperature of min at 25 °C (77 °F). This battery is field replaceable with catalog number 2711P-RY2032 or any equivalent CR2032 coin-cell lithium battery.

The 2711P-RN20 Ethernet communication module is available for the 700 to 1500 terminals if another Ethernet port is required. The module has its own unique IP address. This port has an RJ45, 10/100Base-T connector for network communication and supports MDI/MDI-X connections. The parameters are downloaded with the application.
