The SM-Applications component from Control Techniques integrates advanced motion control functionalities. The unit is designed to be mounted within an enclosure that has an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and splashes.

Fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal thermal management during operation. Under normal conditions, it can sustain overloads up to 150% of the rated current for a duration of 60 seconds without damage. The operating temperature range is designed for environments between -10°C and 50°C, while it can be stored in temperatures as low as -40°C up to 70°C.

Moreover, safety is prioritized with features like Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1). The SM-Applications unit complies with multiple standards, including CE, UL, and RoHS, ensuring it meets stringent safety and environmental regulations.
