The DVT 515 from DVT Cognex Vision is an advanced SmartImage vision sensor designed for high-performance imaging functions. Utilizing a CMOS image sensor, this device delivers reliable results with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels. It is powered by a Texas Instruments processor that ensures efficient processing of image data.

For connectivity, the sensor comes equipped with an Ethernet interface that supports speeds of 10/100 Mbps with automatic crossover functionality, allowing for flexible integration into your network. The global shutter type enhances image capture, particularly in dynamic environments, while providing sensitivity to near-infrared wavelengths up to 850 nm.

The device can achieve a frame rate of 60 frames per second, making it suitable for real-time applications. With 64 MB of RAM, the sensor can handle substantial data loads, complemented by an additional 16 MB of flash memory for storage purposes. It includes a serial interface supporting both RS-232 and RS-422 communication protocols, enhancing its versatility.

It also features 8 configurable digital I/O lines, providing options for interactive control and integration with other devices.
