The MOPEG240C module is an electrical motor operator module manufactured by Eaton. This module is designed to work with Eaton Series G, types EGB, EGE, EHC, EGS, and EGH circuit breakers in the E-frame family. Its ratings are 100 to 220 Volts AC or 100 to 220 Volts DC operating voltage, 1 Amp of inrush current, and 50 to 60 Hertz of operating frequency. The motor operator module enables the users to accomplish remote or local switching for the ON, OFF, and RESET functions of a circuit breaker remotely or locally. Both modes of operation support the manual and automatic control of the unit. In manual mode, the operating key that ships with the MOPEG240C motor operator module can be used to locally open, close, or reset a circuit breaker’s contacts through the keyhole.
Controlling the MOPEG240C motor operator module remotely involves the use of its built-in motor and cam drive mechanism to regulate the components that operate the circuit breaker handle. This unit is meant to be mounted on the front cover of the circuit breaker within its dimensions. The internal limit switches and relays on this unit are tasked with controlling motor operation by making sure the circuit breaker handle is only moved within a defined range. The Eaton MOPEG240C motor operator module can be manually tripped through its push-to-trip button. It incorporates a pull-out locking mechanism for locking the circuit breaker handle in the OFF position with a padlock and it can be used in standard load transfer switching applications. The status of this unit is visible through the status indicator on its front cover.
