The S801+N37N3S soft starter is an electronic soft starter rated at 37 Amps. It is part of the S801 product line from the Eaton Corporation. The compact S801 series starters can be easily accommodated in existing machine system designs. The benefits of these starters are inrush current control, reduced wear on system parts such as gears, and reduced shock for conveyor lines. Important features of the S801 series starters include adjustable torque control, ramp times, and kick start control. The S801+N37N3S soft starter is a non-combination soft starter which is a 3-pole starter and it comes with standard soft starter overload support. The S801+N37N3S soft starter is designed for use with 3-phase AC motors in a delta configuration.

At 50 Hertz line frequency according to the standard duty ratings, the S801+N37N3S soft starter can be used with 10-kilowatt-rated motors at 230 Volts AC, with 18.5-kilowatt-rated motors at 380 to 400 Volts AC, and 18.5-kilowatt-rated motors at 440 Volts AC. At 60 Hertz line frequency according to the standard duty ratings, the starter is compatible with 10-Horsepower-rated motors at 200to  230 Volts AC, 25-Horsepower-rated motors at 460 Volts AC, and 30-Horsepower-rated motors at 575 Volts AC.
