The Eaton S811+R13N3S soft starter is an S811+ series soft motor starter that comes with a Size R frame. It can start or stop industrial motors without causing abrupt changes in the motor’s operating speed and torque, and this helps to eliminate component damage in the system. The S811+R13N3S soft motor starter itself is easy to program and control through its DIM or digital interface module which includes an LCD screen and a keypad. It can withstand 15 g of operating shock and 3 g of operating and non-operating vibration from any direction. Additionally, the S811+R13N3S soft motor starter can operate at a maximum temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a maximum non-condensing relative humidity rating of 95% without derating.

The S811+R13N3S soft starter is an S811+ series non-combination soft starter manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The power rating of this soft starter is 40 to 80 kilowatts or 40 to 125 Horsepower over a voltage range of 200 to 600 Volts AC, 3-phase. Its control voltage is 24 Volts DC and its output current is 135 Amps. The S811+R13N3S soft starter can be panel or enclosure-mounted and it is intended for use with 3-phase induction motors in applications that require soft starting or soft stopping processes. Its frame size 110 millimeters, it weighs 4.8 kilograms, and its dimensions are 4.38 x 7.92 x 6.64 inches (W x H x D). The Eaton S811+R13N3S soft starter offers the users a variety of starting and stopping options to optimize performance even in the most demanding applications. Its voltage ramp start allows the users to set an initial torque value between 0% and 85%, and then it constantly increases the torque. Its adjustable ramp time can be set anywhere between 0.5 and 180 seconds, and the current limit start mode limits the current available to the motor during its start phase. These 2 start modes also offer kick start and soft stop starting and stopping options. The digital interface module and communication port on the S811+R13N3S soft starter allow the users the flexibility of local and/or remote configuration, metering, and monitoring. Its communication module supports the Modbus, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, and other communication networks. The overload capacity of this soft starter is 450% for 30 seconds. Edge and level-sensing control are also available in this unit.
