The S811+U42N3S soft starter is a soft starter with its own control unit that has been manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The main function of this soft starter is to provide a means of initiation to a compatible motor, a start-up process that is smooth and safe and that provides protection against sudden start-ups that could cause machine wear or damage. Other functions of this soft starter are to control, accelerate, and decelerate 3-phase motors. It can also reduce loads temporarily and reduce the current overcharge of the motor during its start-up process. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S811+U42N3S soft starter does not require the use of an external controller since it already features its own control unit.
