S811+V50P3S

The S811+V50P3S soft starter is a 3-pole S811+ premium series soft starter manufactured by Eaton. It has a current rating of 156 to 500 Amps and it can be used in 200 to 600 Volts AC rated applications with motors that have 110 to 220 kilowatts of output. It has a P-frame that measures 290 millimeters and it incorporates 6 Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs) to regulate the acceleration and deceleration of motors during the startup and shutdown processes. When the motor reaches its commanded speed, the bypass contactors of this soft starter will close, allowing the motor to run directly across-the-line. When used in unmanned applications, the level sensing control of the S811+V50P3S soft starter automatically restarts operation without human supervision after a fault is cleared. This soft starter also provides pump control and extended ramp start time as well as the current limit start and soft stop.

The communication port of the S811+V50P3S soft starter is compatible with multiple network topologies for seamlessly transmitting system data to the operators remotely. Its digital interface module includes a display unit and a keypad for monitoring and configuring the system locally. Edge-sensing control is available on the S811+V50P3S soft starter. This means it can be used to start motors under different power conditions. Its alarm-no-trip functionality allows the operators to disable some system protection features to allow for its use in applications that experience voltage or current imbalances and other fault conditions. This soft starter features user-selectable motor wiring configurations as well as an array of motor protection capabilities.
