The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S811R13N3S motor starter is a reduced voltage motor starter. It has a 110-millimeter frame size, an operating voltage that can vary between 200 and 600 Volts AC, and a nominal current rating of 135 Amps. It belongs to the Eaton S811 IT (Intelligent Technologies) series of soft starters, and it is a non-combination soft starter. Everything needed to reliably control a motor’s acceleration and deceleration in virtually any industrial application is packed in the 4.42 inches by 7.92 inches by 6.64 inches compact enclosure that protects the S811R13N3S motor starter. The S811R13N3S motor starter has overload and thermal protection and it is a compact and complete motor starting solution. Furthermore, this motor starter allows for easy access to real-time diagnostics and it processes parameters with a digital interface module. This interface includes an LCD, 3 arrow buttons for scrolling through the menu, an ESC (escape button), and start and stop control buttons.

The Eaton S811R13N3S motor starter users can read alarm messages, modify process parameters, allow or disable protection features, set communication parameters, and monitor the actual voltage or power data values. The complete user interface can be removed from the S811R13N3S motor starter and installed to a control cabinet door. The Eaton S811R13N3S motor starter is specifically engineered to control the acceleration and deceleration of 3-phase AC motors with the voltage ramp start, current limit start, or the kick start option. The ramp time can be adjusted by the users anywhere between 0.5 and 180 seconds. This motor starter is equipped with a set of auxiliary contacts to show its status. Terminals 13 and 14 show bypass conditions and terminals 95 and 96/98 indicate alarm conditions.
