D100CR14

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer D100CR14 is a 14 I/O Micro PLC from D100 series. This is small-sized Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipped with 14 I/O (8 inputs + 6 outputs), high-speed counter, and the device is an analog expandable type. It is supplied with 115 Volt AC voltage. Its inputs are a 24 Volt DC type, and its outputs are relays. This module’s software supports 16 timers, 16 counters, 256 steps of step sequencers, and 128 steps of shift registers. The available memory on this device is a 1K RAM memory, which takes close to 8 milliseconds to scan, and this module is a brick-styled stand-alone device. Its installation, connection, and programming procedures are all very simple and the program can be entered via this module’s special feature, a hand-held programmer. This programmer has an LCD and a keyboard. It displays a ladder program which is easily editable.

The programmer device is plugged into the D100CR14 controller, where it receives power, but to gain access to the connector on the controller, the cover labeled “Programmer” must be pushed to the left. Then a program can be entered into the controller via a pre-programmed PROM, or by connecting to a PC and using suitable software, which has certain advantages in easy troubleshooting and reporting. The D100CR14 has only 14 I/O, but it can be expanded with a maximum of two modules to increase its I/O count to 34 in total (20 inputs + 14 outputs). This D100CR14 controller’s ambient working temperature is around 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The controller can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, directly to the panel, using screws or DIN rails. This PLC has dimensions of 9.3 x 6.7 x 1.6 inches (235 x 170 x 40 millimeters).
