The D320 PLCs are programmable logic controllers by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. They are industrial controllers designed to handle a wide variety of applications. They improve productivity and reduce operating costs. They have high-speed processing and come with user control programs. They feature a complete line of I/O and special function modules which include digital, analog, communications, and networking modules. The PLCs are available in different configurations. They come with different channels, different voltage ratings, power ratings, numbers of slots, and sizes. The D320 PLCs feature up to 2048 I/O expansion points, real-time clock functionality, and PID loop control capability. They also come with special function modules that provide an array of specific purpose solutions and remote I/O applications.
The D320 PLCs are equipped with high-speed data communications capabilities that use dedicated peer to peer modules. They come with built-in dual program loaders that provide flexibility to accommodate simultaneous programming, monitoring, networking, and operator interface requirements. They can be used for both distributed and centralized control schemes. The D320 PLC series controllers have many additional features that make them the most popular choice among their competitors. They come with features like self-diagnostics, PID loop control, real-time clocks, large program memory units, NOVRAM battery backup, and peripheral support. The D320 PLCs should never be installed anywhere with a temperature outside a range of 0 and 55 degrees Celsius or in direct sunlight. They can only be used for indoor purposes. The PLCs can be operated at an altitude of up to 3000 meters above the sea level without getting derated. The logic controller devices should be kept away from high voltage, high magnetic forces, and electromagnetic waves.
