Eaton Cutler-Hammer Tri-Pac

Eaton's Tri-Pac series is a line of circuit breakers. Tri-Pac circuit breakers included molded case models, current-limiting models, and fused models. Tri-Pac breakers are so-called because they provide "Triple-Package" or "Tri-Pac" protection. This "Triple-Package" protection includes a thermal trip with a time delay, an instantaneous magnetic trip, and current-limiting protection. The thermal trip clears low-magnitude and overcurrent faults. The magnetic trip clears normal short circuits.The current-limiting feature clears abnormal short circuits that occur above an established threshold. As a result, a single Tri-Pac breaker provides multiple circuit protection options in a compact individual device.
