The IC694MDL231 input module is a 240 Volts AC rated RX3i isolated input module. It comes with 8 input points. The module has been manufactured by GE Fanuc. All of the input points are isolated. The module has an open architecture and it should be handled and installed carefully. Thus input module helps to lower the noise level in the PLC system. Each of the input points comes with a common power input terminal. Each of the circuits in the input module is reactive and it is compatible with a variety of input devices, pushbuttons, sensors, and switches. The input points on the module are very flexible. Each individual module can be provided with voltage from an external power supply. Note that the module works only with an AC power supply.

The IC694MDL231 input module has an input frequency in the range of 50 to 60 Hertz. For isolation, the field to backplane voltage is 250 Volts AC continuous, and the isolation voltage to the frame is 1500 Volts AC for a time period of 60 seconds. The on-state voltage of the module is set between 148 and 264 Volts AC, whereas the offset voltage lies between 0 and 40 Volts AC. The IC694MDL231 input module consumes 60 milliamps of current from the bus on the backplane of the module. The backplane bus has a voltage rating of 5 Volts.
