The IC695CPE302 CPU is an RX3i PacSystems controller designed by GE Fanuc. It has a modular design with a programmable controller to provide industrial internet connectivity in a PLC system. Its efficient control engine and universal programming environment ensure portability for use with multiple hardware platforms. It comes with 3 communication ports that are the Ethernet, USB, and RS-323 ports. Ethernet communication is provided through the Modbus TCP/IP, SRTP client/server, OPC-UA server, and EGD portocols. This embedded Ethernet interface is used to connect the module to the PacSystems machine edition programmer. The data rate of the Ethernet port is 10/100 Mbps. The mounting option for the module is rack mounting. The IC695CPE302 CPU module is shipped with the IC695ACC400 module for backup power, a real-time clock battery, and a 3-foot cable.

The IC695CPE302 CPU supports auto-located symbolic variables and programming via ladder diagrams, function block diagrams, and structured text. The reference table of the module includes 16k bits for discrete I/O and 16k words for analog I/O. Some of the features of the module are the ability to retain the user memory without batteries, coin battery backup for the real-time clock, data uploading and downloading facilities with removable data storage devices, and internal temperature monitoring facilities. The IC695CPE302 RX3i CPU has 8 status LEDs on its faceplate and the RDSD and the Run Mode switch behind the protective door. The energy pack of the module saves the user memory without needing batteries that need to be frequently replaced. It is recommended to install the module inside an enclosure since this open device’s hazardous live parts are exposed otherwise. The RX3i CPU Firmware version 9.40 or later is needed for configuration.
