IC695PBS301

The IC695PBS301 module is a PROFIBUS slave module manufactured by GE Fanuc in the RX3i PacSystems product line. It is designed to offer slave communication over the PROFIBUS DP network and it has LED indicators, including the "MOD status," "network," and "PROFIBUS OK" indicators as well as support for universal backplanes. The GE Fanuc IC695PBS301 module has a 9-pin connector, a single slot, and power consumption rating of 440 milliamps at a rated voltage of 3.3 Volts DC. This PROFIBUS slave module supports all the standard data rates, operates at a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and it can be stored at a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The slave module exchanges the data with the master device automatically. It does not have the right to access the bus, but it can acknowledge the received messages or transmit them to the master device when requested.

The IC695PBS301 PROFIBUS slave module supports a wide range of PROFIBUS communication features, including the ability to read an input data load of up to 244 bytes from the network and transmit an output data load of up to 244 bytes. It also supports all the standard PROFIBUS data rates and DP-V1 Read-Write and Alarms messages.  The IC695PBS301 module receives its upgrades of firmware indirectly through the host controller CPU by use of the WinLoader software utility. This WinLoader software comes with updates to the PROFIBUS module software. The green "PROFIBUS OK" LED shows the presence of power and a complete backplane reset. The yellow bicolor "network" LED shows that the module can transmit the PROFIBUS telegrams, and it turns red if there are critical communication problems. The bicolor "MOD Status" LED displays the module's operating status.
