The IC695PSA140 is a multi-purpose power supply that is part of the PACSystem RX3i product family. This module is also compatible for use with other modules having the same IC695 catalog number and ideally used for redundancy and load sharing application and additional power to the backplane.
The IC695PSA140 is capable of providing a maximum output power of 40 Watts when supplied with the appropriate supply voltage of 85-264VAC or 100 to 300VDC. Additionally, this power supply module features Three (3) output ports such as +5.1 VDC output with maximum of 30 Watts; +24 VDC relay output with maximum of 30 Watts and +3.3 VDC output, used internally by RX3i modules having the same IC695 catalog numbers. The 24VDC relay output may also be used to energize other circuits.
Up to Four (4) multi-purpose power supply modules may be installed in a single RX3i PACSystem rack. It is provided with Four (4) LED indicators such as Power, P/S Fault, Overtemp and Overload. Additionally, this power supply module is equipped with an Overcurrent protection. Specifically, 5.1 VDC output is limited to 7 Amperes while the 3.3 VDC output is limited up to 10 Ampere output. This power supply also supports installation in Hot-standby or redundancy systems. With this, the fault condition of the power supply will latched the module to OFF. To return the power supply to normal operation, the power supply must be power cycled. The IC695PSA140 is also provided with an internal fusible link in the input line that functions as backup.
This multi-purpose power supply comes with an input voltage ranging from 100 to 300 Volts DC or 85 to 264 Volts AC with an input power of 70 Watts with the direct current voltage. It also comes with an input power of 70 Watts maximum with a full load. The output power of the IC695PSA140 power supply is 40 Watts maximum, and it is 30 Watts maximum at 5.1 Volts DC or 3.3 Volts DC. Generally, the maximum output power that is available depends on the air temperatures around the module. Other specifications include a ride-through time of 20 milliseconds, and this is the amount of time that the power supply can maintain the valid outputs in case of a power failure. The GE IC695PSA140 multi-purpose power supply is best-suited for use in redundancy applications and load sharing applications. Power Supply modules like this one with the IC695 catalog number are compatible with each other, and the RX3i PacSystems universal backplane allows a maximum of 4 multi-purpose power supplies to be connected on it at the same time. These power supplies are suitable for use when the required number of modules is more than the power supply capacity requires. The GE Fanuc IC695PSA140 power supply is designed to occupy 2 backplane slots in the universal backplane, and it can indicate when there is an internal fault in order to help the CPU detect the power loss or log the correct fault code.
