The GE Fanuc IC698CHS109 Rx7i Rack is a front-mounted I/O rack designed for the Rx7i PACsystem series. The Rx7i PACsystem racks have the VME64 base system which offers 4 times the speed of the existing VME based systems to provide faster I/O throughput, and they can support the RX9i CPUs and VME modules (including Series 90-70 I/O) and VMIC modules. The IC698CHS109 Rack features automated daisy-chain interrupt profile and bus grant (BG) signals which completely eliminate the use of slot jumpers. The IC698CHS109 Rack also features a backplane connector (the J2 connector) that offers high-speed VME data transfers of up to 64 bits per cycle, and it is designed to accept plug-in Rx7i power supplies. The I/O addressing for this rack is software configurable with the Machine Edition Logic Developer-PLC software, and it does not require the use of DIP switches or jumpers on the connected I/O modules.
