The IC695FTB001 terminal block is an active fiber I/O interface device that is intended for use within industrial environments. The terminal block is made by GE Fanuc and it is designed for use with the GE Fanuc PACMotion RX3i systems. This fiber I/O terminal block can be configured for additional motion-specific functionalities, and it has special marker inputs, touch probe inputs, home switches, and over travel limit switches for these functionalities. The IC695FTB001 terminal block has multiple inputs and outputs that can significantly extend the capabilities of the system. The unit mounts on a standard DIN rail and it has removable terminal block headers that allow for easy operation. The unit uses a 35-millimeter DIN rail and it should be mounted in a vertical position in order to avoid over-heating. The mounting dimensions (W x H x D) of the unit are 141.2 x 125.5 x 62.5 millimeters (5.56 x 4.94 x 2.46 inches).

The IC695FTB001 I/O terminal block operates on voltage range of 19.2 Volts DC to 28.8 Volts DC and it has a current rating of 0.45 Amps at 24 Volts. In addition to that, the unit’s power consumption ratings in steady-state operation include 4 Watts or 80 milliAmps at 5 Volts DC, 2.16 Watts or 90 milliAmps at 24 Volts DC (ADC405), and 7 Watts or 140 milliAmps at 5 Volts DC and 1.2 Watts or 50 milliAmps at 24 Volts DC (ADC410). The IC695FTB001 unit includes quad encoder open-circuit detection and its I/O functions can be assigned when the configuration of the hardware module takes place. The terminal block also includes electronic overload protection and 5 Volts of output power with a maximum current rating of 0.5 Amps. The IC695FTB001 fiber I/O terminal block uses a fiber optic cable for interfacing with a PACMotion module and the maximum cable length that it can support is 100 meters.
