The IC697MDL350 module is a discrete output module manufactured by GE Fanuc as part of Series 90-70. It operates on a voltage of 120 Volts AC, with 0.5 Amps of current capacity for each of the 32 output points that are isolated into 4 groups with 8 points each. This module comes with a high inrush capacity of about 20 times the rated current. It allows for the use of every 8-point group on a different AC supply phase. Each of the output groups is fused with a fuse rated at 5 Amps and it shows a inrush current that make the outputs suitable for a variety of inductive loads. The IC697MDL350 output module has LED indicators that indicate the on/off status for each output point on the circuit’s PLC side. It also features an LED that shows the status of the fuses that are found on the top side of the module.

The users of this module can execute the configuration function for the I/O references without the need for jumpers or DIP switches. The configuration is done through MS-DOS or Windows Programming Software which run on the Windows 95 or Windows NT operating system through the SNP port or Ethernet TCP/IP port. The 0.5-Amp current rating applies to the long-term value of the currents for every point. Since the module has heat dissipation, the total current for every output group is limited at high temperatures.
