The GE Fanuc Versamax IC200ALG261 module is an analog input module with 8 differential channels. It can be used in programmable logic controllers or PLCs. Because it has 8 channels, the IC200ALG261 analog input module can act as an interface device to a maximum of 8 differential voltage inputs. The IC200ALG261 analog input module is powered by the backplane power supply in the Versamax PLC, and this means that it does not need an external power supply in order to operate properly. However, if the users install the module in a system with transceivers, then the users must also install an external power source for the transceivers. This input module consumes 200 milliamps of backplane current at 5 Volts.
The GE Fanuc Versamax IC200ALG261 analog input module can support intelligent processing from the PLC’s CPU or NIU device. This module has a green LED indicator that is labeled as the “OK” LED, and it illuminates to tell the operators that there is backplane power, that the field power that is internally generated is functioning properly, and that the module has been properly configured and recognized by the backplane. The IC200ALG261 analog input module can report a loss of internal power for its field-side circuits as a diagnostics feature. This input module does not have group to group or channel to channel isolation, but the isolation that it has between the user input and the logic or the frame ground is 1500 Volts AC isolation voltage for 1 minute and 250 Volts AC of continuous isolation voltage.
