About IC200CHS001

The GE Fanuc VersaMax IC200CHS001 module is a barrier-style I/O carrier module. There are 36 barrier-style terminals on the IC200CHS001 carrier module. This module provides field wiring, backplane communications, and mounting for one I/O module. The terminals on the IC200CHS001 carrier module can accommodate 1 or 2 stranded or solid wires with gauges from AWG 22 to AWG 14. GE Fanuc recommends the use of copper wire rated for 90 degrees Celsius. Care must be taken to ensure that when 2 wires are being inserted into the same position, both wires are the same type and size. The IC200CHS001 carrier module can sustain 2 Amps per point or 8 Amps per power/ground connection. The module can sustain a voltage of up to 264 Volts AC. Transients of up to 300 Volts AC will not damage the IC200CHS001 carrier module.

 

The recommended terminal torque for the IC200CHS001 carrier module is 0.37 to 0.5 pounds on a foot. The IC200CHS001 carrier module mounts onto a DIN rail measuring 7.5 x 35 millimeters. The I/O which is compatible with the mounts lengthwise on the carrier so that it is parallel to the DIN rail. GE Fanuc recommends that the DIN rail be electrically grounded and have a conductive finish which is resistant to corrosion. The IC200CHS001 carrier module supports wiring for a maximum of 32 I/O points and 4 common/power connections. The IC200CHS001 carrier module comes with easily-set keying dials which ensure the installation of the proper type of I/O module onto the carrier. A module latch hole is provided which enables the secure fastening of the I/O module onto the IC200CHS001 carrier module. Notches are also provided on the lower edge of the IC200CHS001 carrier module for attaching an auxiliary I/O terminal strip
