The IC200ETM001 connector is an expansion connector module manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation as part of the Versamax product line. This is an expansion connector module intended for use in expanding the Versamax PLC to contain a maximum of 7 additional racks. Every extra rack has up to 8 I/O modules, including a field-bus communication module. The IC200ETM001 module features a 26-pin connector (female) on the front side of the module. This expansion connector helps in connecting the module to the expansion receiver module. It has a 16-pin serial port connector (male) that is located at the module’s upper left corner. It is used to upload the firmware updates to the nearby Network Interface Unit or NIU in the Versamax PLC.
The GE Fanuc IC200ETM001 module has 2 LEDs that indicate the module power and expansion interface status as well as a high-speed expansion interface. One LED indicator shows that the module is supplied with 5 Volts DC power from the NIU or the CPU. When it turns off, it shows that the module is disconnected from the NIU or CPU, or that the power has not been delivered from the CPU. The GE Fanuc IC200ETM001 expansion connector also features an EXP TX LED that blinks to show that there is communication between the bus receiver module and the expansion transmitter. The EXP TX LED remains off when the communication between the 2 is off. There are 2 modules of the expansion receiver modules, including a non-isolated module (the ERM002) and an isolated module (the ERM001). The IC200ETM001 module is installed on DIN rail, and it attaches itself to the VersaMax CPU on the left side.
