About IC200MDD845

The GE Fanuc IC200MDD845 mixed module is a product of GE Fanuc and a member of the VersaMax series. This module supports discrete inputs and outputs and it provides 2 groups of 8 inputs each and another group of 8 outputs, for a total of 24 points. The IC200MDD845 module has Form A relay outputs, and they are individually isolated. When the host CPU is active, and the output logic bit is set to “1,” then the contact points for the outputs are closed. The input points receiving current from various devices and returning it to the common line and vice versa have 2 logic options which are the negative and positive logic. It is essential to have the module upgraded to the IC200MDD845C module to use the negative logic, however.

 

The GE Fanuc IC200MDD845 module needs an IC200CHS series carrier base. It supports channel to channel isolation for the output points only. It does not support snubbers, internal fuses, or any other protection systems. There are multiple LED indicators showing the status of the device. The IC200MDD845 mixed module is supplied with power from the backplane, but any additional loads will require a second source of power. The total of power drawn by this module from the backplane power source depends on the amount of active I/O points, and it has a total of 270 milliamps of maximum current consumption. The total number of I/O points that can be concurrently active depends on many factors. The IC200MDD845 mixed module has an input point voltage of 24 Volts DC and an output voltage range of 0 to 125 Volts DC and 0 to 265 Volts AC at a frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz.
