The GE Fanuc IC200MDD846 mixed I/O module is a product of GE Fanuc that is manufactured as part of the Versamax series. This module is designed and intended to improve machine flexibility through the integration of discrete input and output points into a single module. For this module to operate efficiently, the IC200CHSxxx carrier base is required. The IC200MDD846 mixed module has a single group of 8 input points that draw electric current from input devices that are attached to it and sends it to the common line. It also has one group with 8 output points that are capable of handling a maximum current load of 2 Amps. The input points for this mixed module are either positive logic type or sourcing type inputs, while the output points are Form A relays and they come with a silver contact, fixed coil, and a moving framework.
Every output point of the IC200MDD846 module is isolated. The module also features LED indicators that each input and output point correspond to. The LEDs indicate the on and off statuses of the device while the “OK” LED shows the backplane power supply presence. The IC200MDD846 Versamax mixed module draws all the required power from the rack-mounted backplane. It has a maximum current consumption rating of 300 milliamps from the power supply, with a nominal input voltage of 120 Volts AC. It also has a nominal output voltage of 5 Volts DC, 24 Volts DC or 125 Volts DC and 120 Volts AC or 240 Volts AC. This module comes with a voltage drop of 0.3 Volts. A Network Interface Unit or a CPU is required to perform the processing of the device.
