The GE Fanuc IC200MDL140 Versamax AC Input Module is an 8-point discrete input module belonging to the Versamax Modular I/O and Control System. This module receives 2-state AC signals from sensors, pushbuttons, and switches and it returns these signals to the CPU as 8-bit discrete inputs. The IC200MDL140 Input Module’s inputs are arranged in a single group of 8, and each input point operaties as either a positive logic input or sourcing discrete input. The IC200MDL140 Input Module is installed on the Versamax backplane by using an I/O base carrier. The Versamax I/O base carriers have interposing terminals and a snap-in design that provides maximum wiring flexibility as well as support for hot module insertion and removal.

Unlike the Versamax output modules, the IC200MDL140 Input Module and every Versamax input module draws power from the backplane and does not require an external power supply. The IC200MDL140 Input Module has a nominal 120 Volts AC voltage rating and an operating range between 0 and 132 Volts AC. This module has a 70 to 132 Volts AC operating on-state voltage range and a 0 to 20 Volts AC off-state range. The IC200MDL140 Input Module has a maximum backplane current rating of 55 milliamps (at 5 Volts) and an input impedance of 8.6 kilo-Ohms at 60 Hertz. The IC200MDL140 Input Module has 8 non-isolated discrete inputs that are arranged in a single group of 8 input channels. It has 16 individually numbered LEDs that indicate the on/off state of each input channel and 1 LED that indicates the backplane power status. The IC200MDL140 Input Module can be installed on a suitable Versamax I/O carrier and it has approximate dimensions of 110 x 66.8 x 50.0 millimeters (4.3 x 2.63 x 1.956 inches).
