The IC200MDL631 input module from GE Fanuc is a Versamax series input module. This module comes with 8 isolated input points and support for both positive and negative logic operations. The inputs on the IC200MDL631 input module are all isolated from each other and they are not grouped like the inputs or outputs on some other GE Versamax modules are. These isolated inputs are all discrete inputs. When the inputs on the IC200MDL631 isolated input module are configured to operate as positive logic inputs, they receive current from different input devices and return it on the return. When the inputs on the IC200MDL631 input module are configured as negative logic inputs, they operate the opposite way to the positive logic inputs and they receive the current from the return and then return it to the input devices.

This input module can provide 8 bits of maximum discrete input data. The LEDs on the IC200MDL631 input module are the “OK” LED and the LEDs for each input point. The “OK” LED lets the users know if the backplane power is connected to the module or not, and the individual input LEDs let the users know which LEDs are powered on and powered off. The input LEDs can only light up if the backplane power is connected to the module.
