The IC200MDL640 Discrete Input Module is a GE Fanuc 24 Volts DC positive/negative logic input module with 16 input points in the Versamax seires. The 16 inputs are divided into 2 groups. The inputs can have either positive or negative logic. The positive inputs receive the current from the input devices and the negative inputs send the current to the input devices. The input devices can be connected between the common terminal and the input terminal. The backplane provides the power required for the operation of the module. The backplane current consumption rating at 5 Volts output is a maximum of 25 milliamps. The IC200MDL640 Discrete Input Module has a CPU or NIU to perform the processing functions on it.
The IC200MDL640 Discrete Input Module has 1 LED indicator for each point. It does not need any thermal derating or an external power supply. The input response time of the module is a configurable parameter that can be configured easily. The configurable filter time includes 0 milliseconds minimum, 1.0 millisecond as the default value, and 7.0 milliseconds maximum. The input voltage of the module is 0 to 30 Volts DC and 24 Volts DC nominal. It comes with 15 to 30 Volts DC of on-state voltage and 0 to 5 Volts DC of off-state voltage. The basic on/off response time of an input is 0.5 milliseconds. The users are advised to use a shorting bar with the B Terminal to arrange additional bussed terminals during field wiring. The IC200MDL640 Discrete Input Module supports hot insertion. However, additional care must be taken during installation to avoid backplane disruptions.
