About IC200MDL643

The IC200MDL643 Discrete Input Module is a GE Fanuc Versamax 24 Volts DC rated positive/negative logic input module which has 16 input points arranged in 2 different groups. The inputs support both positive and negative logic. The positive logic inputs send the current to the common, and the negative logic inputs do the opposite and receive the current from the common. The inputs which have the negative logic configuration are compatible for use with TTL devices. The backplane provides all the power for the module operations. The IC200MDL643 Discrete Input Module offers 16 bits of discrete input data. The input impedance rating of the device is 2.4K Ohms typical at 12 Volts DC.     

 

The IC200MDL643 Discrete Input Module has 1.45 milliamps of minimum on-state current and 0 to 0.7 milliamps of minimum off-state current. The on and off response time is 0.25 milliseconds maximum. It also offers 3 configurable input filter times to compensate in noise spikes and switch bounces that are 0.25 milliseconds, 1.25 milliseconds, and 7.25 milliseconds. The 2 input groups have a common connection point. A group can be wired for either positive or negative logic. A shorting bar with 2 Amps of current-carrying capacity is available to use with the B Terminal in case the system needs additional bussed terminals. The IC200MDL643 Discrete Input Module comes with 0 to 15 Volts DC of input voltage and 1.8 milliamps of user input current at 5 Volts DC and it has 4.9 milliamps of current at 12 Volts DC. It has no thermal derating and no external power supply. During installation, make sure that the hot insertion is done properly to avoid backplane disruption.
