IC200MDL730

The IC200MDL730 Discrete Output Module is a 24 Volts DC Versamax positive logic input module made by GE Fanuc. It provides 8 discrete outputs with overcurrent protection and short circuit protection. The IC200MDL730 Discrete Output Module has sourcing type outputs that supply current to the load. The main responsibility of the device is to switch the load to the positive side of the external DC power supply. It is advised to provide the backplane supply for 1 second before applying the field power. LED indicators on the output module use an amber color to indicate fault detections for faults like short circuits or overload conditions. These faults which are also known as point faults are detected by the CPU in the Versamax PLC system.

The IC200MDL730 Discrete Output Module comes with 17.5 to 30 Volts DC of output voltage and 2.0 Amps of load current at 30 Volts DC voltage per point. The external power supply, which has an 18 to 30 Volts DC voltage rating, can provide power to the load as well as the field power to the module in a short circuit situation. If the external power supply has insufficient power characteristics, it is recommended to use local energy storage devices such as batteries or capacitors. During installation, make sure to do the hot insertion accurately to avoid damage to the backplane. The users must refer to the installation guide to properly install the module on a carrier.
