The Horner Electric HE693THM440 is a thermocouple input module intended for use in automation tasks. It has integrated A/D conversion and processes temperature readings at a scan rate of 45 channels each second. This model includes four channels for input, accommodating multiple thermocouple types such as B, E, T, S, K, and J, extending temperature measurement capabilities across a broad spectrum. For example, thermocouple type B ranges from 0 to 1820°C, while type E operates between -200 and 1000°C.

With a resolution of 0.5°C, the module provides precise temperature data, delivering typical accuracy of ±0.5°C when utilizing Type J thermocouples. Additionally, it connects through a 20-screw terminal block for secure wiring. Power consumption is rated at 70mA when powered by 5VDC, and 60mA when using a 24V relay power supply.

The HE693THM440 can work in environments with ambient temperatures from 0 to 60°C and can be stored in conditions ranging from -40 to 85°C. It maintains functionality in 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity levels. Electrical isolation is also well thought out, with channel-to-channel isolation rated at ±35V and backplane isolation capable of handling ±1500V AC. Overall, this module is engineered to provide reliable and accurate temperature input for industrial applications.
