The Johnson Controls EDA-2040-21 Damper Actuator Assembly is designed for HVAC applications and operates on an AI voltage range of 0-2 VDC with a DC input impedance of 470k ohms and a sensor or load impedance of 0-5k ohms. Enclosed in NEMA 1 and IP20-compliant housing, it ensures protection in various environments. The actuator offers an adjustable rotation range from 30 to 90°, in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, providing flexibility in system control. With a reliable performance, the actuator is rated for 65,000 full stroke cycles and 2,000,000 repositions at 35 lb·in (4 N·m). Its torque specifications include 35 lb·in (4 N·m) during running, 35 lb·in (4 N·m) during breakaway, and a minimum of 40 lb·in (4.5 N·m) during stall. The actuator is available in different models, each offering specific rotation times depending on the application requirements. The shipping weight of the EDA-2040 is 1.5 lb (0.68 kg) without the switch kit, while the ATP-2040 is 1.7 lb (0.77 kg) without the switch kit, and the EDA-2040-102 is 0.3 lb (0.15 kg). For ambient storage conditions, the actuator can withstand temperatures ranging from -20 to 150°F (-29 to 66°C) with a maximum of 90% RH, non-condensing. The ambient operating conditions for EDA-2040 and ATP-2040 are 35 to 125°F (2 to 52°C) with a maximum of 90% RH, non-condensing, while for DPT-rated accuracy, it is 60 to 100°F (16 to 38°C). The switch kit contact rating allows for a total switching load of up to 2000 VA, supporting various voltage and current combinations for different loads. Pressure connections include a 6-inch (152 mm) length of silicone tubing with barbed fittings for 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) O.D. tubing, facilitating easy installation. The actuator offers precise control with 90° rotation times ranging from 1 to 13.2 minutes, depending on the model and operating frequency.
