The Johnson Controls V46BE-2C valve is engineered as a pressure-actuated water regulating solution. With a measurement of 1-1/4 inches in size, the valve exemplifies robustness, weighing 10.3 lbs. Designed primarily for maritime service, this valve is characterized by its direct-acting action that opens on rising pressure in the system.

Constructed from cast naval bronze, the body of the valve ensures compatibility and endurance in saline and humid environments. The end connections are NPT threaded, facilitating straightforward installation in existing systems.

For reliable operation, the V46BE-2C employs a valve seat made of Monel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance. The valve disc is manufactured from Buna-N, while the diaphragm is composed of nylon reinforced Buna-N, enhancing its durability and performance in challenging conditions. A sensing element built with Monel bellows encased in a brass cup contributes to its effectiveness in pressure sensing.

The valve is rated for use with non-corrosive refrigerants across a range of applications. It can handle a maximum water supply pressure of 150 psig and can safely operate at a maximum allowed refrigerant pressure of 320 psig. Additionally, the valve can endure water supply temperatures up to 77°C, making it a versatile option for various system configurations.
