The V46BR-2, produced by Johnson Controls, serves as a pressure-actuated water regulating valve, optimized for refrigeration settings. This model is designed with four-hole ASME flange connections, ensuring a solid and stable attachment to pipework. Measuring 1-1/2 inches, this valve contains a pressure connection featuring a 30-inch capillary and a sweat connection (Style 34), facilitating a reliable and efficient connection method. Its body is crafted from cast naval bronze, with Monel used for the interior components, enhancing durability in demanding conditions.

For operational versatility, the opening point can be adjusted between 70 and 260 psig (483 to 1,793 kPa), accommodating various system pressures. The V46BR-2 also handles refrigerant pressures up to a maximum of 320 psig (2,206 kPa), thereby becoming suitable for diverse refrigerants, including R-22, R-134a, R-502, R-404A, and R-507. Additionally, the valve can withstand maximum water temperatures of 77°C (170°F) and a maximum water supply pressure of 150 psig (1,034 kPa).

Its seat is made of aluminum bronze to promote longevity, while the disc is comprised of brass, ensuring efficient operation under various conditions. For maintenance ease, a seat repair kit (STT17A-612R) is available. Meeting NAVSEA certification requirements, the V46BR-2 is a reliable choice for refrigeration system applications that require high performance and compliance with rigorous standards.
